FALMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Field Hockey team played a superb game against Falmouth today and came away with a 1-1 tie. The score was 0-0 at halftime and after a failed penalty stroke by Falmouth, Nauset struck first 13 minutes into the 2nd half. Libby Hart sent a perfect pass upfield to Sara McCullough who carried the ball 20-30 yards and then timed a perfect shot into the goal.
Falmouth came back 6 minutes later and scored to tie the game.
Nauset had 2 more great chances to win with shots that went just wide of the goal.
Taylor Sheehan was once again outstanding in goal with 18 saves. In addition to Libby and Sara, other outstanding performances came from: Carry Miller, Sarah Ford, Naomi Chase, Carli Thomas, Jordan Milesky, Tori Eldridge, Crystal Johnson, Ashley Hale, Abbie Russo, and Anna Milliken.
A great team effort - first tie/win against Falmouth in several years!
Next up - at Plymouth South on Thursday.
