Warriors began the game on the front foot, maintaining possession in the midfield, swinging the ball from one side of the field to the other. Falmouth was physical but warriors held firm. Halfway through the first half Vance Bates attacked from the right side of the box, sidestepped a defender, and finished with his left to put Nauset ahead 1-0. Five minutes later, Ben Mulholland hit a rocket from the 30, which sailed over the keeper's head and into the back of the net. Falmouth capitalized on a mis-clearance midway through the second half to close the gap to 2-1. Mente McMillan used his speed several minutes later to beat the outside back and the keeper for the insurance goal. Nick Meehan played very well at outside back.
