The Nauset Girls faced a talented opponent yesterday against Sandwich High School as they battled to a 3-2 loss.

Sam Gordon scored both goals for Nauset.  Her first goal was 9:45 into the first half with a beautiful shot inside the 6 yard line.  Her second goal was from a breakaway by Ellie Hartmann who outmaneuvered two Sandwich players from midfield to the goalie box and push the perfect pass to Sam who connected perfectly to nail the back of the net.

Ellie Hartmann played amazing in midfield and defense - running circles around the Sandwich players and distributing the ball to her teammates to continue our offensive pressure.

Sonja Bergquist & Neilly Rose battled continuously against the Sandwich players, stopping many of their attacks and showing their determination to challenge Sandwich to the very end.
