Nauset lost a one-point heartbreaker to Monomoy on the road in a packed gym when the Sharks made a three-point play in the last minute of the game to go up, 58-57. Although the Lady Warriors were down 27-20 at the half, the team's pressure defense wore down Monomoy, which helped Nauset gain the lead. There was a back and forth score change for a series of possessions down the stretch, and Monomoy came out on top. Leading scorers, Kristen Brown (14 points) and Brittany Silva (11 points) dropped in 5 three-pointers between the two of them, which sparked the team's comeback. Carolyn Brooks  (8 points) and Kallie Hannon ( 7 points) contributed much needed scoring in the 3rd quarter and Jenny Leyton's (7 points) defensive hustle helped pressure the Sharks throughout the entire game. The Warriors will host the first games of the Stripes Tourney on Thursday, Dec. 27th, where they will face Mashpee at 5 pm.
