The big winner from this contest appears to have been the future of the Nauset soccer program.  Coach McCully was beaming as he looked on as both freshmen and middle schoolers played the ball with purpose, quickly, precisely and with pressure on their backs. Both teams played the ball through the back with confidence, switching the point of attack and then looking for the seam or gap that could be exploited. As it turned out, Eric Sargysan was the first to find the seam that sent the ball to the waiting right foot of Vance Bates who calmly put the ball to the opposite side netting and scored the game's only goal midway through the first half

Cormick, Abdel, Curtis Wison were very strong in the back and middle for NRMS.  Owen Wilcox, Daiver, Justin King, and Nick Meehan controlled the freshmen back line well. Freshmen complete their undefeated season with the game. The future is bright!
