The Nauset JV Girls played a tough game against the Red Raiders of Barnstable, but were unable to pull out a win. They started the game with a couple of fast breaks and were able to score several points to get a slight lead on Barnstable. Agressive and tight defense was played by all, forcing the Raiders to work hard for their points. Freshmen, Leah Enos and Haley Collins were especially smart on defense, remembering help side and keeping their opponents outside. After halftime, both teams came out strong, but full court pressure frazzled the Lady Warriors, allowing several turnovers and subsequent baskets by Barnstable. Unlike the opposing team, Nauset had only two girls on the bench and became tired towards the end of the game. Despite their exhaustion, the entire team fought til the very end, improving their game play from the first matchup against Barnstable tremendously.

Sophomores, Kayla Smith, Brittany Silva, and Katie Sullivan led the team in scoring with eleven, seven, and six points respectively. Freshman, Carli Thomas added four points, Caitlin Schadt scored three, and Katie Whelan added two.
