The Nauset JV Girls Basketball team played the Clippers from Falmouth in a tight matchup on Friday evening. The Lady Warriors were able to get the ball down the court quickly, set up their offense, and execute immediately. Defensively, Nauset was not as successful against the stronger and much bigger Clippers. Falmouth dominated off the backboards, many of their points resulting from rebounded missed shots. The final quarter really tested the patience and teamwork of the Warriors when they had to keep their lead with Falmouth behind by only one point.
Kayla Smith led the Lady Warriors with seventeen points. Brittany Silva sunk a three pointer in the first quarter, followed by nine more points throughout the game. Carli Thomas and Caitlin Schadt added eight and five points, respectively. Katie Sullivan and Katie Whelan also scored for Nauset.
